The Challenge:
Mollies came to us as an exciting start up hospitality business with ambitions plans for growth, placing an extremely high importance on the need for this growth to be sustainable from the get-go. Due to the complex impacts of being a hospitality business, Mollies would be one of the first of its kind to become B Corp certified. We worked closely with the CEO, Darren Sweetland and the rest of the senior leadership team to guide them through the B Corp process and ensure that the values of Mollies and purpose driven business were integrated into all parts of the rapidly expanding business.
The Solution:
It was clear that Mollies had every intention to be completely honest and thorough throughout the B Corp process, and as such we conducted a deep Baselining phase that included auditing of all Baselined evidence, before exploring where improvements could be made that would achieve a passing B Corp score. We were able to identify all material impacts of Mollies through gaining an understanding of the business operations, through numerous site visits. This included a waste audit (wading through the bins at each site!), as well as supporting the internal lead through the transitionary period of moving into a sustainability role.
